NPPV for obstructive sleep apnea with hypoventilation in a patient with Rubinstein Taybi Syndrome, dream or nightmare?


This case report shows that effective and safe NPPV could be achieved in RTS patients with OSAS, despite cognitive limitations, if crucial conditions for success are met: being primarily patience and commitment of the parents, continuous cooperation with the medical staff and specialized nurses, this should be maintained over a prolonged period of time.
